WHY I PAINT

I’ve always believed art should make you feel something.

It might make you smile. It might remind you of someone you love. It might capture a personality you never want to forget. Or it might simply bring a little more colour and happiness into your home.

That’s why I paint.

I began painting professionally more than 25 years ago, and somehow I still get ridiculously excited when a blank canvas starts coming to life.

Animals have always been at the heart of my work. I love their personalities, their expressions and all those tiny quirks that make them completely themselves.

Over the years my work has travelled into homes around Australia and around the world, but the thing I love most has never changed:

creating something that makes someone genuinely happy every time they look at it.

WHY I PAINT

A LITTLE PIECE OF MY STORY

I PAINT TO CREATE JOY.

For more than 25 years, I’ve been painting the things that make me smile — animals, personalities, colour and the wonderfully imperfect little details that make each of us unique. My work is bold, colourful and full of life, but underneath all that colour is something much simpler.

Connection. Joy. And a little bit of wonder.
